It's an exciting time in the Battle Castle universe - we're just over a week away from our Canadian broadcast premiere Feb. 23 on History Television. Before the show airs, we want to give you a chance to get to know our host, Dan Snow, a little better. In our first instalment, we detail why Dan's the perfect fit for our #gomedieval adventure.
A UK-based historian, author and TV personality, our host Dan Snow is a key member of our Battle Castle family. And as you can see from our photo gallery of Crac des Chevaliers location stills, he fits right in.
It could be because Dan is descended from Sir Roger Mortimer, one of the only people to successfully escape another great castle, the Tower of London. This, by drugging the Constable.
More than a castle lover, Dan brings together a deep historical knowledge base with the energy and enthusiasm of the best kind of storytellers. Check out some of these #gomedieval moments with Dan in these video blogs.
If he looks familiar, it could be that you’ve already met him in these other series: Battlefield Britain and 20th Century Battlefields.
But there is something you might not know that makes him perfect host for this show with its world broadcast premiere in Canada. Check in with us tomorrow and we’ll tell you more.
You can engage Dan online by following his Twitter feeds @thehistoryguy and @DansHistoryFact.
